Academic Excellence
The curriculum for kindergarten through grade eight follows the course of study mandated by the Archdiocese of San Francisco and the State of California, and is enriched by field trips, assemblies, and guest speakers. Our students score well above the national average on achievemnet tests, and continue their academic success in high school and college.
Strong Spiritual Foundation
Our religious education program focuses on teaching Catholic doctrine, building a faith community, and helping students acquire the habits of heart and mind to live in faith and service to others.
Enrichment Programs
All classrooms and our state-of-the-art computer lab are equipped with Macintosh computers and have high-speed wireless Internet access. Computer use is infused throughout the curriculum. Art, music and dance classes are an important part of the in-school curriculum, and students may also choose instrumental music, chorus, and drama as electives. A library skills program is taught by our credentialed librarian in our Library Media Center.
Active Physical Education
The physical fitness of our students is as important as their academic and spiritual fitness. Our Lady of Mercy's physical education program is taught by a credentialed PE teacher. Students in grades three through eight may participate in soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball through the Catholic Youth Organization and Daly City Park and Recreation leagues.
